CVT was developed by Cathrine Sadolin, a Danish vocal researcher, author, and singer. Based on over 35 years of intensive research into voice anatomy, physiology, and acoustics, she codified how the human voice creates sounds into a universal, genre-neutral system. In 2005, she founded Europe’s largest center for singers and voice teachers: the Complete Vocal Institute (CVI) in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This is a course of study for everyone. From pop, jazz, and classical to rock, musical theater, and heavy metal. Those looking for a common, exact terminology to teach singing without using vague imagery. Professionals looking to project their speaking voices safely. Clinicians, ENT doctors, and speech-language pathologists who use it for voice rehabilitation.
Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) is an innovative, highly structured, and science-backed vocal methodology developed in Europe. There are 3 overall principles and 4 vocal modes.
